From the Late Bajocian period at 168-169millon years old, these Jurassic fossils would have been similar to our clam shells we have in todays waters, living just below the sandy bottom filter feeding.
Many of these fossils can be seen perched in the oolitic black sediment with other little molluscs.
This particular specimen is completely replaced with calcite and shows fantastic detail, ideal to have as a display.
